Most of the time the fate of the farmers depends on good weather and bad weather. একজন কৃষকের জীবন 

একজন কৃষক হলেন তিনি যিনি জমি চাষ করেন এবং তা থেকে জীবিকা নির্বাহ করেন। বাংলাদেশ একটি প্রধান কৃষিপ্রধান দেশ হওয়ায় এখানকার অধিকাংশ মানুষ কৃষিকাজ করে জীবিকা নির্বাহ করে। এখানকার কৃষকরা সাধারণত গ্রামে বাস করে এবং তাদের বাড়ির পাশের জমিতে ফসল ফলায়। তাদের জীবনযাপন স্বাভাবিক। তারা সারাদিন রোদে ও বৃষ্টিতে কাজ করে। খুব ভোরে কাজ শুরু করে সারাদিন মাঠে কাজ করে এবং দিন শেষে সন্ধ্যায় বাড়ি ফেরে। বেশির ভাগ সময় কৃষকদের ভাগ্য ভালো আবহাওয়া ও খারাপ আবহাওয়ার ওপর নির্ভর করে। আবহাওয়া ভালো থাকলে কৃষকের আবাদি জমির ফলন ভালো হয় এবং আবহাওয়া খারাপ থাকলে কৃষকের আবাদি জমির ফলন খারাপ হয়। আবাদি জমির ফলন ভালো হওয়ায় কৃষকরা খুশি। আমাদের সমাজে কৃষকরা নিম্ন স্তরের হলেও তারা আমাদের সমাজের আদর্শ মানুষ। তারা আমাদের অর্থনীতিকে সচল রাখতে সাহায্য করে। অধিকাংশ সময় কৃষকরা তাদের মৌলিক চাহিদা পূরণ করতে পারে না। বিশেষ করে সুযোগ-সুবিধার অভাবে তাদের এসব সমস্যায় পড়তে হয়। কৃষকদের এগিয়ে নিতে আমাদের একসঙ্গে কাজ করতে হবে। কারণ কৃষকদের সহযোগিতাই আমাদের অর্থনীতিকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাবে। খাদ্যের চাহিদা মেটাতে এবং দেশের কৃষিকে আমদানিমুখী করতে কৃষকদের সহযোগিতা করতে হবে। এ জন্য সরকারকে বিভিন্ন পদক্ষেপ নিতে হবে যাতে কৃষকদের সহায়তায় কৃষি এগিয়ে যেতে পারে।
