    WiFi is a technology that uses radio waves to provide network connections. A WiFi connection is established using a wireless adapter to create a hotspot - a network that connects a network to a wireless router and allows users to access Internet services. Once configured, WiFi provides wireless connections to its devices, emitting frequencies between 2.4GHz - 5GHz, depending on the amount of data on the networks.

    How WiFi works

    Like a mobile phone, a WiFi network uses radio waves to transmit information over a network. The computer should include a wireless adapter that translates the information sent by the radio signal. This same signal will be transmitted through an antenna, known as a decoder router. Once decoded, the data will be sent to the Internet via a wired Ethernet connection.

    Wireless networks act as traffic in two ways, the information from the Internet also passes through routers, which are coded into radio signals that will be received by the computer's wireless adapter.
